"Great Item, crappy screen cover" on by sniperrus

Pros: Fast, light, 2.5 hours battery time

Cons: LCD Mask (screen cover) cracks if you breathe on it funny

Summary: I like this piece of hardware for taking notes. I'm in school (again) so it's a life saver. Pretty much everything about it is on the mark, fast machine, reliable, accurate screen. The only major problem is the screen cover. Two issues, one is that it is ridiculously reflective, using it in the lecture hall with overhead lights is a headache; two is that it cracks if you look at it funny. I've only had the machine for six months and I'm already on the third LCD Mask (Part No. P000388420), and I'm pretty careful with my hardware.

"Love this Laptop! Love keyboard!" on

Pros: Why I bought this tablet) I was not looking initially to get a tablet. I was comparing Toshiba R100 for its super .7" slimness & 2.4 lbs. weight and Panasonic Y2 toughbook for its included CD/DVD at 3.5 lbs. The Toshiba M200 tablet PC was a wild car

Cons: Worst part is the clicking noise when the hard drive is accessed. Drove me crazy initially and I briefly contemplated returning it. Was able to twick it so that HD access is GREATLY reduced so I get less of that ticking sound. I recommend disabling recove

    "THE Tablet to buy" on

Pros: I am a Sales/Engineer that travels to various industrial sites to listen to various problems and then make recommendations on change. Previously used spiral tablets to take notes, make dwgs etc. and with 14 feet of spirals containing info (OK. I’m a bit

Cons: Although processor quite speedy I confide that I would kill for a 7,200 RPM hard drive vs existing 4,200. Computer takes forever to start and close using default factory settings but I find that I can disable ½ the stuff via MSCONFIG and SERVICES. Whe

    "Buy everything or nothing." on

    Pros: small light weight

Cons: With no built in floppy or dvd/cd, you MUST buy toshiba's external floppy and dvd if you ever want to re-image the laptop. Their support will quickly tell you after the purchase you can only use their brand to boot to their DVD re-image disk. There is n

"If Only Women were as good..." on

Pros: This was a replacement for my Compaq X1000 15.4" Widescreen laptop which I loved until I had to take it to class 3 times a week and found it too heavy and had serious hard drive issues. The M200 seems much more durable-- even though it operates on a sing

Cons: No optical, sort of heavy for a 12" laptop (4.4lbs). A 14" IBM T40 is about the same weight. Although it has the same 1.5GHz Centrino processor as my X1000 it is noticeably slower.
