LG Nexus 4 to cost £390 SIM-free, according to CPW placard
LG's Nexus handset has been priced SIM-free, as well as on contract.
This really is the worst-kept secret in tech. We've already seen a boatload of snaps of the LG Nexus 4, as well as a price on contract, on Carphone Warehouse's website. Now the phone seller has revealed the SIM-free price of the device, thanks to an in-store placard, Android Authority reports.
The Nexus 4 will be yours for £389.95 SIM-free, according to the display. The placard confirms a few of the specs too, such as the 8-megapixel camera with LED flash, 12 hours of talk time, the weight -- 139g -- and the fact that inside lurks a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon processor. Nippy.
It also has the same £31 per month contract price we saw previously on Carphone Warehouse's website.
The SIM-free price is cheaper than an iPhone 4S. If you're getting it on contract, meanwhile, you could have a Samsung Galaxy S2 or Nokia Lumia 710 for the same monthly outlay.
The Nexus 4 hasn't exactly been kept under lock and key. We've seen plenty of pictures in leak after leak. One LG exec even confirmed the handset ahead of any official unveiling, though LG distanced itself from his comments. Then one Belarusian blogger claimed to have had his hands on the device, posting a review. According to him (and this is supported from the snaps we've seen), the Nexus 4 will look very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
The Nexus 4 was previously tipped to be called the Optimus G Nexus.

The Nexus 4 was due to be announced at a Google event tomorrow, but that's been called off due to safety fears concerning Hurricane Sandy.
