"problems with program" on by testingitout
Pros: fairly easy to use
Cons: maping is incorrect
Summary: I just purchased the program & it has several mistakes in it. The 2004 program works much better. 2005 routes me 129+ miles to go 49+ to the same point as 2004. Has a town called Terra Bella, Ca. in the wrong place. Is 9 miles off. Town is located on Hwy 65 South of Porterville but program shows it just West of 65 on Hwy 190. Tech support says county gave them wrong information. Doubt that very much. Program says I can be just East of Tehachapi, Ca. by end of day. 04 says St. George, Utah. I would think twice about purchasing the present program as don't know how much more is not right.

"It works for simple stuff realtime gps is not usable" on by mathewss
Pros: Lots of maps for the $$
Cons: Trip routing is poor and gps is interfacs is poor
Summary: The product is nice for a simple where am I and where am I going to and what is near me. It fails badly on trip routing and the gps navigation. When the gps is on and in a mode to help direct your trip the software will take a 2 GHz processor to its knees and the painting of the map gets almost impossible to read because of flicker. The gps unit itself is a nice product I would give it a 7 or 8. I would consider the software it came with a novelty or an entry level tool untill I find some real software.

"Worth the money for sure" on by jrr800
Pros: Inexpensive, if you have a laptop already
Cons: No voice directions
Summary: Used on a 2,000 mile trip in areas that I had driven many times and some areas only a few times. Worked very well and seldom lost the signal. Needs voice turn by turn directions but was worth the money.

"Very Cool; Inexpensive; gets job done" on by YNGOHIO
Pros: Pros: The Mic. Streets-Trips with GPS offers a great set of maps and accuracy with its GPS Add-on. Made by Microsoft so it is reliable.
Cons: Cons: Once in a while the GPS will go black and then come right back but 95% of the time its on and accurate.
Summary: From my two week use with the product I found it very helpful when traveling to minor league baseball parks. I went to 10 in a 2 week span and never did I get lost. The product is not a phony because it has the "MICROSOFT" Label on the GPS Itself. The product is much more inexpensive than all GPS units and it has many more maps then the individual GPS Units. I recommend this product to everyone.

"Good mapping and GPS" on by mhand
Pros: Accurate GPS location, good mapping
Cons: Does not talk to you (no audible "turn here" prompts)
Summary: I've used this software and GPS receiver for the last month and a half and have been quite pleased with it. I've used it in Ohio, Georgia, Alabama, and Wisconsin and the mapping and GPS tracking have been quite accurate. I do wish that it talked to you so you wouldn't have to take your eyes off of the road to see where your next turn is though. You may want to look at the Delorme version also, I have co-workers who like that version and it does have the audio capabilites. If you travel with a co-pilot the Microsoft Streets & Trips 2005 with GPS would be a good choice. I do also like the fact that the MS S&T program is easy to use and you can define areas that you want to avoid and it will create a route around the area you've defined.
