"for the first time user it is great; but don't upgrade"
on by jeffbrjPros fast convienient; hundreds of pushpins allowed; great for regional sales geographic database
Cons scrambled pushpin locations; some streets missing
Summary I had hundreds of pushpins in my 2003 version. I upgraded to 2005 thinking they would have more map detail, newer roads, updated exits etc. That is not the case. When I converted maps from 2003 to 2005 many pushpins were relocated to different states....very confusing. Some streets are no longer on 2005 that were on 2003! they said they purchased the data from a different source for 2005 version. If converting to 2005 from other version.....convert to excel first and then import into 2005 to insure accuracy

"You will not be able to beat it for $40"
on by dlmoorePros Ability to import your own map data from a simple text file, excel and other sources.
Cons No voice annunciation.
Summary We tried Street Finder, Trip Maker Deluxe and others, including online maping. You can't beat this one for the money. True, the online versions are free, but logging on while driving down the road is not affordable for most of us. We have found MS Streets and Trips to be just as accurate as the online versions and certainly more customizable. There are some support groups too, like Discovery Owners Association http://www.discoveryowners.com/cginfo.htm who provide updated mapping (pushpins)information for places like Wal-mart, Sam's, Flying J, Petro, etc.
We use it extensively and love it.
