"What a waste"
Pros: Desktop mapping isn't too bad
Cons: Handheld part is awful
Summary: I spent $100 to buy this program with a Bluetooth GPS puck, the BT-20. The program has a free add-on which runs it on a Windows Mobile device. That part is primitive and difficult to work with. If you have a data connection on your handheld, just run Microsoft Live Search or Google Maps and get a state of the art Bluetooth GPS puck (receiver). I doubt that I'll ever use Street Atlas for anything.Updated
This software is satisfactory on your desktop, and has 150 million phone #s. You could connect a Bluetooth GPS and use a navigation mode. You can create maps and transfer to your handheld. Those maps are clear enough, and if you create a route to a destination, the route shows clearly enough. However, as far as a navigation mode on the handheld, as compared to programs like OnCourse Navigator, iGuidance, and CoPilot, its primitive and I found it to be unreliable. So if you want navigation software on your handheld, this program is not it..at all. I have not connected a GPS unit to my laptop however. Delorme could be a fantastic resource if the company would put their heart into it!
