"A decent place to start!"
on by SeanfirPros the belt drive, quartz lock motor speed, tracking controls are standard for a decent turntable, with decent noise specs
Cons The cartridge that it came with was terrible, ignore that and get a Shure or something you know is cool. THE BIGGEST PROBLEM this thing has, which is a GLARING error, is the absence of a GROUND WIRE!!!!!!
Summary I had to take the thing apart as I was having HORRIBLE problems with static and ground hum in my recordings! The lack of ground wire is an error that would have been a big deal 50 years ago, the fact that they didn't include on on this model is just bass ackwards. The USB MAY be helpful, not so much in my case, found it to be buggy and useless, the preamp on board may also be nice for someone who doesn't have a pramp.

"Dumb Product"
on by Rick3904Pros Can't think of any
Cons There is no good reason to record LPs "direct to iPod". Anyone who has ever experienced a glitch with an electronic device will want a backup on their computer. Ipods DIE, folks! Who wants to do this twice? Not a "killer feature" in my opinion
Summary Skip this toy and get a REAL turntable!
