"Overall good product, but needs some tweaks to be great."
Pros: Fairly easy to use. Nice HD picture.
Cons: HDMI jack faulty on first receiver. Low signal strength
Summary: After buying a new HDTV, I upgraded my Directv subscription with the H20. Excellent service by the technician who provided a wall drop free of charge. After setting up box, immediatley noticed that when watching any channel through the HDMI cable provided, the picture would cut in and out. Purchased a Monter Cable 600 series thinking that it was a bad cable. Same problem with new cable. Component cable works fine, which led me to believe that the HDMI jack on the receiver was bad. Called Directv and after being transfered to 4 different people and an hour on the phone, they decided to mail me a new receiver. Still awaiting its arrival. Will post more..

I had the same problem that you had. I just purchased a Sceptre 37" 1080P TV and when I connected it to the HDMI port on my Directv HD box the picture would go in and out. After talking to several techs and getting a different answer from each and also receiving another HD box, I talked to a tech that knew something. He said there was a tech note at Directv reguarding this problem and should be fixed by a software fix in the middle of Sept. The component worked fine on the Sceptre but my computer would not sinc with the tv so I took it back to Costco and got a Visio 32" unit that does not support the 1080P (which might be the problem if you have the 1080P model of TV) and everything works great (HDMI and DVI). I hope this message solves some of the issues that users are having.
