Cons 1. It is very slow, both in scanning and normal channel changes, compared to another converter box I bought at Radio Shack.
2. On a couple of particular channels, it locks up and then cycles its own power (it reboots itself) every time.Summary Darn! I wish I had tested this right when I bought it in 2008, using my gov't coupon. Now, I can't return it. A true piece of electronic junk!

Cons The biggest problem is the unit locks up and resets from power-on whenever I tune a certain channel.
Summary The screen goes blank when I tune a certain station and then the unit shuts down and powers back up on the last good station. I happens on both units I bought so I know it is a firmware problem, not just a defective unit. My out-of -pocket for these was $10 each, so I'm not going to waste time and money to make a warranty claim. I'll just wait until I can buy new tv's and then I'll throw both units in the trash. These units are so bad that the feds should make GE give back the money they collected on coupons.

"Difficult to Use, Poor Manual, Broke after a few months"

Cons I'm a tech savvy and yet I found it very difficult to program; paper manual has few details; Images are pixel-y and remote badly designed.
After a few months the converter won't let me access the settings menu, and shuts off every 15 minutes.Summary Piece of junk, buy another product.

Cons crappy reception. inconsistent. many channels it wont get at all even though another box with same antenna in same location gets them perfectly. Remote is junk with tiny buttons in a grid formation -. the wavy shape of the box is annoying too.

Remote is junk with tiny buttons in a grid formation - you need a flashlight and magnifying glass to know what button to push. the menus are crappy too - its like a .99 cent store product - just barely has the requirements necessary to advertise on the box **THIS Feature and **THAT feature! but not well made at all. ** NOW WITH BINARY POWER SWITCH BUTTON!! L.E.D. INDICATOR LIGHT!! WOW. anyway, dont buy this one. the wavy shape of the box is annoying too.

Cons The picture CONSTANTLY pixelates. It's always loosing the signal. When we Actually get a picture, it is clearer that rabbit ears, but I don't even watch tv anymore. Between the pixalations and the signal loose, I can only watch a fraction of my shows
Summary Worst piece of garbage ever! I am convinced this was a fat bureaucrat politician's way to scam more money from American citizens
