Summary Got it at Walmart with the government coupon. Worked fine for a few months. Now it won't go out of standby, or it will just turn off and not come back on unless you unplug it for several minutes. Before 7:00 AM even unplugging it for a half hour won't help at all, after 7:00 AM it works a little better. The remote doesn't work unless you hold it upside down and are standing right in front of the box, even with fresh batteries. The signal strength is poor, the channels cut out often (especially during the summer). Apparently the word "warranty" appears as a typo on the paperwork.

The only good points are the big remote buttons so my grandparents can use it more easily, and that it gets more channels than analog alone. These features are so useful while sitting and staring at the white noise on my TV screen.

Googled all over the internet and no one has an explanation for these problems. RCA wants more money to repair it than it would cost to get a new one. In short, buy a different brand next time.

Cons Unit dies within 6 months

Summary I have had 4 of these units and all of them have gone out in about 6 months. I sent 2 back for warranty and those two have also gone out. This unit is not woth the monty. Buy something besides RCA

Pros Very easy to set up. Very easy to use. inexspensive.

Cons limited output options to TV. but if you need the box you probubly can't use better output options anyway.

Summary Was free with goverment program and very inexspencive without the goverment coupon so if you need one its a good choice!
