Does it's jobby w00kiex - August 20, 2008

Pros: Nice picture, good setup options

Cons: Using with new 5 LNB dish was a bad idea -- though I knew that going in.

Review: It does what it is supposed to do, I haven't had issues with resetting or any issues that some had brought up. It has a very good picture, many different ways to hook it up to your TV or system. I was just popping it out of the box after a year of so in the basement to hook it up in a kids bedroom on a non-Hdtv and it was a bit of a pain to get it working again with the new type of dish, but eventually it all got set right with the locals and has been working fine ever since.

Great HD PQby chugawoo - July 25, 2006

Pros: Picture quality, on screen guide!

Cons: Has its defects. read on....

Review: I kept my TS-360 because the units Directv sends as warranty replacements, flat out suck. Moreover, no third parties are allowed to make Directv receivers anymore?? Are you kidding me?? My box works perfectly fine other than a few non working menu options( transparency, Guide color etc) These I live with because of the high quality PQ, which is similar to my old Sony HD300. The guide works slowww sometimes, but a quick reset fixes that too. Until Sony and other big names start making the boxes again ,if ever, I'll sticking with mine.

Pros: Some nice features, good design

Cons: Crashes/freeze up all the time

Review: I bought this because there is little choice with HDTV Directv boxes. I've never been a fan of Samsung but it seemed to have some nice features so I gave it a try. I've been really dissappointed with this piece of **** since. I work at major retailer(big yellow tag)and I set up the electronics in the store and I use this unit in a demo area. So I've seen this thing crap out at home and at work. I have to reset the unit at home and work at least once every other day. I would return it but like I said it was my only choice. If you have this unit please write Samsung and demand they get recalled. If you don't own, DO NOT buy.

No Problems over the past yearby - February 21, 2005

Pros: Good connections for all components. Beautiful HD picture from DirecTV and over the air stations. I've not expierenced the re-boot problmes others mention.

Cons: None to date.

Has a problem with espn hdby - January 27, 2005

Pros: generally easy to program and use. Very easy to scan for over the air hdtv channels

Cons: This receiver has a major issue with espn hd, live sporting events are fine, but movies such as dale ernhart, tilt are unwatchable. I have talked to quite a few people that have an issue with jittery picture with this receiver on direct tv

Big load poopby - January 17, 2005

Pros: who cares what the pros are when it continously re-boots and stops displaying the picture.

Cons: the product is not good at all, remote sucks, you have to re-boot all the time to get it to work, and now after 30 days no picture, wow, nice product for 400 bones

Pros: good features and connectivity.

Cons: Freezes when you change chans. The only way to unfreeze is to pull the plug. Certain button sequences make the receiver reboot. Slow in locating channels. Unusefull manual. Poor customer support. Hold on for ever to talk to unhelpfull techs. I will t

SUCKS DO NOT BUYby - January 12, 2005

Pros: Worked for a day or two. that is it. I have gone threw 3 differnet receivers so far. Still not working right.

Cons: Shuts off and restarts on its own. Direct tv told me that samsumg has had a big problem with this receiver. Do not buy

Good on-screen controls-Great Pictureby - October 8, 2004

Pros: Easy to install. Very pleased to be able to combine local on-air channels into the guide for easy access, therby avoids changing back and forth.

Cons: Instructions were lacking a bit in clarity.
