"The Zenith box does not provide a HD signal to the TV !"0.5 starson by arluk3
Pros: The program guide is O.K. The zoom function works well. The channel learning function works well.
Cons: The remote control is small and the buttons are somewhat difficult to use. The program guide only allows you to see the current and next program on any given channel, rather than allowing you to view programming hours ahead.
Summary: I hope readers will understand that this Zenith converter box does not provide a HD signal to the TV, even though the signal received by the antenna has the capability of of HD resolution. Instead, the Zenith box only supplies a "standard resolution" signal to the TV, which results in a picture which is only marginally better than the previous picture supplied by an antenna. There are other converter boxes out there that do supply a HD signal to the TV, and I would recommend that you buy one of them instead of buying the Zenith box. The HD picture is leaps and bounds better than standard resolution, and you will be kicking yourself if you ignore my advice and later see an HD picture from another converter. Or you can simply buy a TV which had a converter built-in, and hook up your antenna directly to the TV without using a converter box, and you will get an HD picture. When you see an HD picture, you will understand what I am talking about. Many TV showrooms don't even have an HD picture for demo, which is something I don't understand, so sometimes people don't even know what an HD picture looks like. The HD picture is simply stunning. You won't get it from this Zenith box.
