    Pros: Does the job well

Cons: Wish it would let me use a network drive to save ripped files.

Summary: Didn't even bother to read the instructions. Just plugged it into my Gateway 450 laptop running XP pro. Started ripping video from VHS and DVR then sending files to a larger network drive for editting and burning. Had absolutely no issues with BSoD or any other crashes. I would create new files for editting out dvr commercials then splice together when editting final dvd. Kept file size down when transfering over network. Had no sync or noticeable frame drop issues.
