"I have yet to find a flaw in this."
5.0 starson by infernowolf36Pros: security, 8gb of space, flip-out usb plug-in, spot for lanyard, compact
Cons: security not compatible with linux, can't permanently delete a certain folder
Summary: This is by far the best flashdrive i've seen so far. The thing that leads it far beyond other flashdrives is it's U3 technology. It's basically the flashdrive, with another piece of hardware around it (metaphorically speaking) which means that in order to access any information on the flashdrive you have to enter the correct password (optional), if you don't have the password, i don't believe you can access the files.
The bad part of that is that you cannot unlock the flashdrive using linux computers. which means you cannot access the information if the flashdrive is locked.
i love how it is so small and compact and it has a switch-out usb plug in which stayes in when it's supposed to and stays out when it's supposed to.
using this i can store whatever i need to, 8gb of space is plenty for me.
the only con (which doesn't really matter) is that there is a folder in the flashdrive called "documents" which has "music" "pictures" "video" folders and if you delete the folder it just comes back. however it doesn't take any space so it's not a huge issue.
another cool feature is the ability using U3 to download applications to the flashdrive and run them straight from it. Currently i have portable firefox and PuTTy on mine. you can also download games and much much more.
bottom line is that so far SanDisk has made a master piece and has perfected the way usb flashdrives work.
