I picked this up for a dedicated ready boost device for my laptop running Vista. I have two gigs of memory so after reading the reviews, it says to match your memory mb for mb using ready boost. Well I did...and well I see the difference....from apps loading, to web pages displaying to playing WoW ready boost kicks ass and this usb drive works great with its 9mb/s access speed. You can see the little blue lite working like mad.. I love it. If you run vista...get this device and start using ready boost..!!!! IT WORKS....

I have had this product for at least 6 months now and it is as indestructible as advertised. Flash drives that have a retractable USB connection have notoriously been easily broken b/c they are usually sticking out from the computer tower that's sitting on the ground. As someone walks by, it often gets inadvertently kicked or stepped on. This drive has withstood the punishment--no problems with the sliding mechanism.

I have also accidentally washed it and dried it (left it in the pants pocket). Obviously not something that I or the manufacturer would suggest but the product still works perfectly!!!

If there is any downside to the item is that it has a lanyard/keychain ring but does not come with a lanyard. Also, the item is only negligibly heavier than your typical thumb/flash drive (it's supposedly constructed with titanium). Certainly not a deal-breaker by any stretch.

Excellent design, excellent durability, does what it's designed to do!!!

"Fantastic if you remove U3 software"

Pros

small, durable, 2g holds a lot of files, talks with various PC types

Cons

If you don't have USB 1.0 it will not work out of box

When I plugged in on my home PC USB 1.0 it installed 2 drives a smaller drive with U3 bundled software and a larger 1.9G drive for storage etc.
When I plugged in USB2.0 at work same OS it crashed Win XP, kept searching for drive. After surfing I found out about the problems with U3 software and how to remove it. The only catch is you need to be on a USB 1.0 Machine to remove.
Now that the software is gone (if you just try to delete it comes back..grr) It works great on every PC I've attached it to, even laptops. Since prices have come down I was willing to take pains to remove the software but if you don't want the hassle go with a memory stick that does NOT come bundled with U3 software. The software claims it will make your life easier but thats not the case it's got a bunch of Junk like Skype etc that most people who just want the extra storeage don't need. Hey Sandisk, U3 software is hurting your reputation..dump it!
