Pros: Great products with great features IF they lasted. Unfortunately, they crap out quickly.
Cons: Expect the power supply to die very soon. Replacing it (with an identical unit with the same problem) will cost you over $200.00. My VCR lasted 13 months but I found complaints online from people whose machines burned out in as little as three months. As

Pros: Great NTSC/PAL/SECAM converter! Very easy to convert between different modes.
Cons: Will likely die on you. Mine died after 7 yrs, then again after 2 more yrs. The 2nd time I repaired it myself with $ 2 worth of parts. Replaced 5 electrolytic capacitors C31-C35. Power supply also causes interference to the tuner and nearby TV's.

Pros: The VCR playsback and records all the PAL formats. It's has been a good tool for the NBC News Archives department. We can make screening tapes for our clients from all over the world.
Cons: We have already gone through 2 machines. The machines stop working after a while. They begin by turning off out of no where and until they don't turn on anymore.
