"Great universal VCR"
3.5 starsonSummary: This VCR does exactly what Samsung says it will - play VHS tapes from anywhere in the world. The picture and audio quality are very good, regardless of the source tape type (NTSC, PAL, or SECAM - I output to an NTSC TV). So far, I have not found any compromises in buying this universal VCR vs. NTSC-only, apart from having to pay for the universal features.
