Pros: lots of bells and whistles
Cons: manuals too hard to follow and not organized well
Summary: I edit professionally and I find FCP4 has all of the tools I need. The software works seemless with the G5 and does not crash too often. My only fault with the software is the manuals, 3 of them 1 1/2 inches a piece. I turn to them for a question and it refers me to too many different pages and each article refers me to another. By the time I am done surfing through the manuals I am frustrated and usually strike out on my own.

"Fabulous Value" on
Pros: Soundtrack and LiveType are worth the upgrade price alone. Throw in Compressor and the tweaks to FCP itself and Apple has outdone itself. Truly one of the great software applications.
Cons: Support after 90 days (from your first call) is pricey.
