Summary: I tried Windows movie maker but it can't read Quick Time from the digicam and won't burn to dvd. Tried Roxio 7.5, it crashed often. Read many reviews. Ulead seemed to be the best balance for stabiliy and ease of use compared to Pinnacle 9 and Premiere Elements 2. I used the 30 day trial version, made a 4gb compilation of 5 years of vacation camcorder and digicam clips. Didn't use many titles or special effects but found it to be very stable. I'll buy it if I need to do anymore video editing.
