"Sounds great but is it really?"
Pros: Nice features, Attractive exterior. Plays PAL videos no problem (just experimented and it did it).
Cons: We were attracted to its features but were quickly disappointed when the DVD part of this machine started to refuse playing any disks at all. Returned it and tried another unit. This one worked a little better but while recording the 3rd DVD from VHS tape

"Everyhting you need to preserve your memories"
Pros: Easy to operate piece of equipment that eliminates three other unites, DVD player, DVD recorder, VCR.
Cons: Does not record well onto DVD unless you use Verbatim, Imation, Phillips or LG DVD-R discs. Do not waste your time on the likes of TDK, Sony, etc.

"Easy to use, yet no useable results!"
Pros: It seemed like a great buy. Transfer all of my home vhs to a more practicaly dvd format. Hooked up without a problem and I actually managed to do a direct copy of an old movie from vhs to DVD. Gave it to a friend as I wanted a more professional version
Cons: The machine just started to fail. The while recording onto vhs the machine would turn off by itself. Then any attempts to record to DVD and the machine would unexpectedly turn off as well. I tried many solutions and ended up with two incomplete useles

"Doesn't record beyond 90 minutes"
Pros: It's very easy to connect and to copy from VHS to DVD. One button copy.
Cons: I am on my second machine within two weeks, due to a glitch. Most times I try to record from cable, it stops after 90 or so minutes stating "Defective Disc" yet if I push record again it begins recording again. Problem on both new machines I've had. Will

"Great for this technology and price."
Pros: Copies all home VHS tapes and most of my older VHS movies.
Cons: Printed instructions do not work as well as the telephone support which was freindly and easy to access.
