Pros: Good quality DVD recording. Reads every disk I have put in it so far, something my Samsung would not do even from day one. Play back is good on all formats.

Pros: Everything working so far except playing DVD-RAM disk. Unit is easy to setup and use.
Cons: Playing a movie DVD-RAM disk has occasional cutoff of sound. Not sure whether this is due to the unit or the original movie recording.
