Pros: Unreliable. I am on my second DR-MV1 with the first one supposedly repaired before doing it again. Same problem occured. The machine will stop whatever it is doing and flash "LOADING" and controls are inoperative until it shuts off on its own.

"JVC DR-MV1S - DVD recorder/VCR combo"
Pros: Price I pick this item up for $218.00 I have had this recorder for about 2 weeks and have made copy of show off my DVR with not problem. I like that it come with firewire and VCR. This recorder is easy to work right out the box.
Cons: Hope I don't have all the problem that I have read about. The owner manual is a little long and drawn out.
