"Won't even play store-bought DVD's"
Pros: If it worked as advertised it would be a great product.
Cons: Unit stopped working after two months!
Summary: This unit worked okay for about two months, although the editing functions were a little awkward. After the two months, the unit would not accept any discs, even store-bought DVD's and DVD's that had been burned by itself. I called JVC and the advice was to use a lens cleaner, which I can't because the unit won't even accept the disc. Poor product and poor service from JVC.

i forgot to mention cd's don't load up either!

i have the same problem with this unit! sometimes i have to load and unload a disc 4 or more times to get it to read it. the lens cleaner same problem! big disappointment for a product from jvc!
