"Mgf Spec sheet missleading"
Pros: Most everything worked as advertised
Cons: Does not automatically create thumbnail chapters on DVD as stated in Lite-On's spec sheet and manual.
Summary: The specs and manual state that this unit automatically creates chapters on DVD and it does not. It even had pictures in the manual showing chapters. It creates bookmarks and when you create a DVD, everything is in one big chapter. You have to keep skipping to the next book mark to find the scene you want to watch. I called Lite-On, they said it was a mistake in the manual. It does not create chapters unless to stop/start the recording manually to create each chapter. Who's going to take the time to do that? I feel like I've been bait-and-switched because that was a major selling point. Go to their website and looks at the specs to see where they say it's suposed to do this.
Also, the spec sheet says the unit has both a digital coax and optical output. When I got the unit home, I discovered it only has a digital coax output. Not helpful being I only had a fiber optical cable to use.

How long does it take to record a two hour VHS tape to disk?

I am sure glad I read "atlgymboy's" comments about this LVC-9006 DVD/VCR combo recorder since before I did, I was seriously considering buying one TODAY. Thanks for posting it.
