Cons: I bought both units, about nine months apart based mostly on CNET reviews, but dependability is horrible, unless you can live with it only working properly for no more than a few months.

I have bought the DMR EZ475V and the DMR EZ37V, with the same results. They work fine for a few months, then they start locking up after recording on DVD-Rs, and DVD-RWs, causing the DVD-Rs to self-finalize after recording has stopped, and locking up on DVD-RWs, making them unusable.
