"Very quirky and poor interfaces"
Pros: 120 GB Hard Drive No monthly subscriptions Multi-Format DVD Recording
Cons: Customer support is lousy Advertises upgradeable firmware, but when you go to the website it cannot be downloaded. No response when emailing customer support with a pretty serious flaw Timer will activate itself and deactivate itself on a whim. Poor us

"Good features but need to get implementation bugs worked out"
Pros: 120GB HDD; Cable box control; configurable timeshift buffer size; can edit out commercials (manually) before burning DVD;
Cons: Time shift buffer doesn't typically display correct program. Program timers are not reliable. Control of cable box via IR not reliable (sometimes misses digits). IR blaster response is slow. Control of cable box cause product to lose ability to select

Pros: Good as a timeshift DVR with decent size hard drive, The picture quality is good.
Cons: User interface is poorly designed. Quite a unique design, but noone can understand it without lots of time learning it.

"Worst piece of electronic equipment I've ever purchased."
Pros: Very few, if any.
Cons: Support from Philips was worse than poor, it was pathetic. I spent a long time trying to get this unit to work but it was impossible. It should never have been released to the public.

"best DVD Recorder /HardDrive"
Pros: Wow this is amazing.every fearure TIVO has.plus more. Only thing is you cant type a show to search for.....but you search in catagories.sports, news...etc. Tivo is a pay service....this service that comes with Philips FREE and DOES WORK WITH DIGITAL CABLE
Cons: NO CONS WHAT SO EVER.
