Sony RDR-VX500

Pros: Can't think of any

Cons: Very expensive, can't edit commericals out right. The A-B feature works like crap.

Summary: I bought the first one plugged it in and no power. Took it back and exchanged it for another unit. Dubbed a VHS to DVD (concert) and the words didn't go with the mouth, I'm serious, I could not believe that. They are fine on my VHS tape. It takes way to long to load anything. When you open the draw to take out a disk and close it, it tells you to wait it's loading. Loading what? I'm just closing the draw. That's very annoying. I can see having trouble with one but two units? I have a Sony VCR and it plays my tapes beautifully. Put the same tape in this recorder and the video is blurred. It's just plain crap!

I have everything Sony in my house but it sure won't be a DVD recorder.
