I'm really on the look-out for another SYLVANIA DVR90VF I really need a second one, but I think they might have sold out of them. but I will keep looking.

Pros: No problems in over a year of use ! Terrific machine for recording DVD's and VHS to DVD.
Cons: Slow rewind on VHS tapes.
Review:
I purchased this machine over a year ago and have used it regularly since for all my needs. Has been my primary DVD player and I have recorded hundreds of DVD's. The VHS player is very good but has a slow rewind. The remote control is logical and easy to use. The on screen menu requires some searching at times due to the multitude of features this machine can perform. I have read a lot of poor reviews for this machine at other sites but it has operated problem free for me. Does the job and has features I have not even used yet. For the conservative price it is the best buy out there.

Review:
DVD Recorder's with VCR combo has just hit the market and most of them don't have all the bug's worked out yet, But this model is a very good unit with the same feature's as the more expensive model's and it perform's very well. Be sure to read and follow the user manual. Easy set up, Great DVD picture with fair VCR picture. This unit will do the job until technology is improved on these combo's.

Review:
I purchased this unit on sale from Sears for $149.99. Obviously with the Sylvania brand, it's not going to be top of the line quality. My main intended use was to dub my home-recorded VHS tapes to DVD with minimal intervention. This recorder has been proven very adept at that, with the one-button dubbing feature. I've had 2-3 DVD-R discs refuse to record out of the box, but that's likely the quality of the medium at fault. The product offers very basic title editing for custom DVDs which is adequate for most uses. Whether you are inserting a commercial DVD or one custom record, it does take a few seconds for the unit to initially read the disc, but after that no performance issues at all. VHS side records and plays quite well, with very fast rewind/FF. In conclusion, if you are looking for an economical beginnner DVD-R with a few features, this is the one for you.
