"Superb unit, easy to set up, easy to use. Free Tivo is great."
Pros: Very intuitive setup process. Remote control is programmable to control your other devices. DVD burning couldn't be simpler.
Cons: After initial setup, you can change from phone connection to high-speed internet, but this requires a USB-to-Ethernet adapter. This should be made clearer up front.

"easyist way to save programming on tivo"
Pros: I have the rs-tx160 and it is great I can save 6 hours of programming to dvd in 1 hour. When I want to watch the recording it comes back up as if it were a tivo system and functions the same way on any other dvd player. It works great so that you don't u
Cons: I wish you could save programs that are transfered from another tivo to this unit onto a DVD. Unfortunatly it blocks those items from being recorded.The picture quality on the lowest quality recording is good but not quite as good as my phillips tivo unit
