AWESOME DVR/DVD BURNER BOX
Pros: Very intuitive/ easy to use; Very smart system; Comes with TiVo Basic
Cons: TiVo Plus teaser; Only burns DVR- @ 2x; Can't set shortcut buttons
I still love my Toshiba RS-TX60! It is still reliable, records and plays tv programs like it did on day 1. I overstated the burn time for an hour long program. Instead of 1/2 like I said earlier, it is actually 15-20 mins from programing to complete burn. However, I did experience frequent freezes with the unit. I resolved it by switching back to landline instead of wireless to make its daily update and also by adding a surge suppressor and UPS to the power supply. I do wish it reacted a little faster to the remote. Sometimes it takes a long 5 seconds to respond. Go ahead and count to five and you'll realize that is way to long for a unit to respond from a remote control.

Solid Unit Could use better video driver
Pros: Creates DVDs Quickly
Cons: No Digital Audio Input DVD-R/RW only
IR Blaster is functional and remote control does bare minimum on TV (power and volume and video select but volume breaks if you use it to control AV amp.)
Downchecks for video quality in Live TV and TIVO mode(tech support says all devices like VCRs and other Tivo have noisey video but my VCRs, other Tivo, PVRs, and video converters do not exhibit this problem.) DVD playback is without problem.
