Pros: Performs very well, surprisingly light and comfortable to use, intuitive and useful right out of the box, desktop software performs well, great storage capacity (2 gig version)

Cons: Hard to criticize it performs as advertised, perhaps smaller hands might find the size a bit large, would like the software to enable conversion to text files for long term storage, wish it had a way to create forms for my specialized field.

Summary: What can I say, I think this gadget deserves a promotion to ?tool? status. This tool makes my life much easier. If you are in a profession that requires note taking the Pulse Smartpen is your salvation. I imagine students would love this pen, wish I had it during my collegiate career. It would have made class note taking so easy.

This is a quantum leap ahead of the micro recorder. The fact that it syncs notes and audio is awesome. Attorneys will love it, Medical Professionals, Financial Advisors, Corporate Executives or anyone who deals with client verbal interactions or meetings will wonder how they ever did without it. This pen shaves hours off my workweek.

Buy it you won?t regret it.

You can create your own forms but you need an expensive PS Colour laser printer. See: http://www.anoto.com/print-of-paper-2.aspx?cid=anoto-qualified-printers-2

As for long term storage there is an OCR program called MyScript for Livescribe
I have not used it yet see: http://www.visionobjects.com/handwriting_recognition/pulse/pulse.htm
