  • "Great MP3 player, the guy who rated it a 3 hasn't got a clue."
    on by SkyyRSN

Pros Stunning looks, great functionality, LYRICs feature...

Cons one thing only; the right headphone cord is longer than the left...

Summary This mp3 player is beautiful, plain and simple.

It works awesome and is a very solid mp3 player. I have gone through 4 mp3s before this and really, this is the BEST, I like it more than the iPod. All of my friends who have iPods minis have said they like the way this one looks beter.

#2: LYRICS. I have some songs that are in japanese, and i can actually sing to them thanks to the lyrics.

The guy who rated it a 3 and complained about the software is most likely a 45 year old computer illiterate man who doesnt really know how to do things other than use MS Word and his E-mail. If you take a good 20 minutes or so and get used to their software, its really easy. you CAN change the names, and you can program a LOT of other things in as well. One complaint by others is that the volume is too low. it was when i bought it, but go to olympus' website and download the lastest firmware. They have fixed the volume issue.

Lastly, there was one thing that I didnt like.

The headphones have a cord setup im not all that satisfied with. Where the one cord splits into two to the left and right phones, the right side cord is about 2.5 the lenght of the left. The setup would be much better had they been designed with the left cord as long as the right.

I have had this mp3 player for 4 months, and haven't had a single problem.

In conclusion, this is a very solid mp3 player and I highly recommend it.

  • "THIS IS IT"
    on by omega7up

Pros ipod, zen micro, and H10 got nuttin on this

Cons glitches in touch pad(not sensitve enough at times)

Summary I think if youre wishin for a music player and want something other than the already enterprising ipod, this is definitely the choice. Not only is this player more compact and sleek than its competetors, but at an average price of $229.00(ipod,zen micro, and H10 sell at listing price well over $250.00) this 5 gig hard-drive player is sure to please the masses. The only true flaw that was widely recognized in this product was the occasional lack of sensitivity on the touch pad, but if your willing to bite the bullet, this is the player for all those out there who just wwant to chill to some music!!!

  • "snazzy, easy to set up, works fine, even my son is addicted to it"
    on by chinacat

Pros design, Price, ease of set up, doesnt require a PC to charge

Cons the dependence on the Mtrip prop software

Summary Just picked this up about 3 days back over the creative - which seemed more feature rich, but this had personality.
I am happy already, software set up easily ( i had apprehensions - my home comp is a souped up P233 mh processor - that according to specs is below the minimum requirements). charged up the mrobe, ripped 2 of my old and fave CD's with Windows media player and plugged in the mrobe. mtrip started up found the albums and loaded them on to the m trip with no hassled. 20 mts later i was listening to music.
sound quality is great, the piece looks so so lovely and in just a day or two the controls feel reasonably intuitive.
i worry about the fact that im dependent on mtrip - but this being my first mp3 player, so far that hasnt beeen a problem, especially since i dont have a changeover issue.
in 2 days already my 2 1/2 year old son, loves this and insists on listening to the mrobe.

im happy!!! why is it not a 10? lack of versatility (mtrip dependence and the support of just mp3 and WMA)

  • "Great little player"
    on by theharri

Pros Works well, good sound, good looking

Cons The bundled software could be a bit more polished.

Summary I have had this player for two months now and it has been great. It works well and is quite simple to operate which I find important.Nice little player which fits nicely in a my breast pocket and is good to take out while jogging or riding a bike.
