"Worth the extra $10/month"
Pros: Excellent call quality that rivals traditional land lines
Cons: AT&T's automated customer support
Summary: After having had ATT Callvantage for over a year, I decided to save money and tried Lingo and Vonage.
I'm back to Call Vantage. Sure it's a bit more money, but worth it.
AT&T prefers you talk to everyone but them. Calling customer support sends you through an automated maze that takes 5 minutes of punching in numbers before you are permitted to request to speak to a poorly trained representative who knows less about the service than you do. After convincing the support representative that you need technical support, you are then placed on hold for 10 minutes until the 1 well trained, overworked but rude technical support person can assist you.
Fortunately, you won't need to call for help very often if at all.....which is more than I can say for the competition.
