    "General Customer Service Nightmare"

    Pros: Good Concept:: Pity about the execution

    Cons: Unreliable, Overcharging Frequently

    Summary: This company's billing department, run by Kevin Reid, is basically a nightmare.

    The gentleman is clearly somewhat mentally challenged. Unfortunately problems are escalated to him and he is an obtrusive and unfriendly and somewhat agressive individual.

    Not recommeded, unless you are happy to have a hole burn't in your credit card.

    The account in question had been overcharged on multiple instances. When we asked for a refund, Mr Reid reacted by changing our billing plan and charging us even more money.

    His cryptic eamils are personally insulting in nature.

    Some of the other people in the company are actually polite, but one gets the general impression that one part doesn't know what the other is doing.

    Their so called UNLIMITED call plan is anything but. If Packet 8 decide, at their sole discretion that you have used the account "excessively", Mr Kevin Reid simply sends out an email, changes your billing plan and RETROACTIVELY charges you without your authority at a higher rate for past calls.

    Cleary the legality of their business practices is highly questionable.

    There is a pattern of questionable billing and overcharging, and its impossible to tell whether its by design or by mistake. There is no question though that the way the treat, mislead and charge customers is not acceptable by any normal yardstick.

    In fact, they appear to go out of their way to lose customers. Other Internet searches reveal a pattern of bad behaviour by this company.

    Under current management, it would be hard to see the company surviving in the longer term.

    THEY ARE CROOKS ! May be they hire their customer service agents from Rikers Island.

    You hit the nail right on the head. The billing department is horrible.

    I just experienced the same worst nightmare myself. Can't agree more with the reviewer.

    It's kind of shocking that a Nasdaq company will us the same tricks repeatedly. I thought I was just a bad luck guy.
