"Very Good Deal for the Money"4.0 starson by sabaines
Pros: Inexpensive Packages; E911 support; Available Customer Service
Cons: Have to tweak the service to get the optomized voice settings.
Summary: I have tried Vonage, Lingo, and Packet8. Packet8 provides the best service for the money in my opinion. While Vonage was the clearest service from initial setup, it was also the most costly. While Lingo prices were quite competetive, there quality wasn't that great. (especially the customer service) Packet8 has the best of both worlds. Their system was quite easy to setup and unlike Vonage, I was able to setup the voice box behind my router and be able to connect to a VPN. Vonage doesn't think you should do this...but it doesn't matter with Packet8's equipment. Also, they are/were the only service at the time that had E911 service. It gets you to the same place that a regular 911 call would go, rather than to a general PBX system like the others.
