"Zero Problems Ever"
Pros: Great voice quality, Simple, Quick/Easy Number Transfer
Cons: Doesn't work when the internet/power goes out
Summary: It's a little funny seeing all these reviews from people that had nothing but problems with Vonage. In my experience, most people that have problems, whether it be Vonage or computers or anything else for that matter, were caused by user error. With Vonage, I went online, signed up, got my equipment, transferred my number and was up and running in no time. I've never had any issue with their service and it's been the best decision I've made, especially having family all over the country. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a replacement to the standard and more costly local and long distance carriers.

Went to Best Buy, got the 5.8 ghz handset and base station, spent about 5 mins to set up account. Drove home, plugged it all into my wireless router...clear as a bell. Have a really good Comcast high speed signal, that may help, not sure. No issues with set up, no echo, no hassles, didn't take my number with me so who knows, may be up for late night calls from jail. Just bought it due to crappy cell reception in my condo, so it's not a business lifeline or anything like that. Just $14.99 for 500 mins. Can't speak to anyone else and their trials and tribulations, but overall I called numbers over the whole USA with great sound quality. Expected walkie talkie like sound so I can't complain. The Vtech handset is well built and sounds good.

I had vonage for about two years.
I cannot tell you how much business i lost due to calls that received announcements that my number was disconnected, or calls that rang into space- never forwading to my cell or to voicemail.
you get what you pay for in phone service, you want a yugo buy vonage.
