"Love everything about it." on by Mobic

Pros: Looks great, rides quiet, 3rd row of seats, Safe.

    Cons: None so far.

Summary: I've owned my Pacifica since April 2005. I love everything about it. I have no complaints with the acceleration and have been averaging just over 18 MPG which seems to be average for any comparable vehicle.

    "Outstanding vehicle!" on by Epsylon

Pros: Very comfortable, smooth rider, AWD a plus!

Cons: A bit sluggish, rear view could be better.

Summary: We were looking for a family car that could haul all our stuff and still be AWD without being either a mini-van or SUV. We settled on a Pacifica after owning a Ford Freestyle that turned out to be a lemon. I looked for a used 2005 with all the extras knowing it would be much cheaper than buying new. I managed to find a 3 year old (2005) with only 14,500 miles on it! I bought it in the mid-west and drove it 2,000 miles home to the northwest. What a fantastic, comfortable ride. We put over 900 miles on in one day and it didn't wear us out like other vehicles. It is a bit underpowered for its weight but that also gives it a more stable ride, especially in bad weather. It's not like we are going to be doing any racing in it anyway. We even managed just under 24 mpg on one stretch. For a vehicle that drives more like a car than an SUV or van we love it. It hauls us and all our stuff in style. If you can find a good used one, it is well worth it for far less than the cost of new.

    "Absolutely Wonderful!" on by LtHuffman1951

    Pros: Absolutely Everything

    Cons: AWD sucks the gas!

Summary: My 2005 Pacifica is everything I was looking for. Got my car 3/10/06 and by 3/30/06 I was pulled over by the police for speeding. Never has that happened to me before, and I have had a Lincoln, LS and two Acuras. Great pickup, Well pleased.

"Great vehical, I agree, CNET got it wrong" on by samhrog36

Pros: Interior, ride, looks, second row seats, 5 sec auto turn signal, seats 6, a lot more

Cons: Poor rear visability, signature decals went bad quickly, not a good car for dirty families since you feel bad for getting the interior dinged up since it is so nice.

Summary: I have the signature version of this car. CNET metioned flimsy interior. Way wrong! I chose this car over numerous other since the interior and its features was a lot more bang for the buck. Example: I was going to get a Jeep Grand Cherokee. The difference is night and day. Passengers in a Pacifica have first class seats (sig touring model). Jeep passenger area is an afterthought and worthless. This car rides great. My only complaint is that I think I got a car with too nice of an interior. I have hockey and softball kids and the interior gets trashed all the time with sports type kids. But that's my problem.

I heard from a Chrysler dealer that they may not make this car anymore after '08. Big mistake. I'd like a 'next version' if there is one.

"Decent SUV/Van, Good for those who don't like mini-vans" on by cjohnstone

Pros: Smooth drive, Luxurious, stylish, all the options you'd want.

Cons: Bad gas mileage, not as much room as I'd like, Pricey

Summary: Pros and Cons say it all. I feel that I am driving a car worthy of what I paid for it, but I feel that people in this type of car market wouldn't spend this amount, or would get higher end. This is not an alternative really to mini-vans, as it still has normal side doors, so getting in and out is the routine, flip the seat, to allow for rear passengers in and out. The 3rd row passenger seats are small, but adequate for a moderate sized person. Trunk space cubic inches is nice, but the doorway from the hatch is a lot smaller, so you cannot use up as much room as you'd like with larger sized cargo (the doorway is too narrow). The 3rd row seat was a selling point to us though, and you should know before you buy it that you just won't be getting the usual leg/arm room as other passenger seats. Overall I feel that we paid a bit too much for what we use it for, but that's just us. I would think that people who can afford this car would most likely go for a titch more and get a Lexus/BMW/Mercedes, because what you sacrifice in price you get less quality, and if you want this sized car and have the money, may as get one of those higher end dealers.
