"fun fun fun"
Pros: powerful engine, compact, but spacious. awesome navigation system, mp3 player, huge sunroof, good gas milage, amazingly excellent "manumatic" transmission (DSG), standard dual zone climate
Cons: bluetooth was not available when i got my a3, tires are the weak link
Summary: i had this car for over a month, and I LOVE IT! it's so much fun to drive. the DSG transmission is smooth and fast, the thing gets from here to there in no time. and when i want manual, i can use the shifter lever or the paddle shifters on the steernig wheel. automatic transmission also has the "S"ports mode, which is extra fun fun. it takes a bit more gas than the civic i used to have, but it's almost twice the hoursepower, so i am not complaining. the space in the "trunk" is not huge, but the back seats fold, and it can fit a lot of stuff. i love the look of the car, it's lean, sporty, and subtly understated. i think bluetooth is now available but when when i got mine it wasn't. which is a bummer, since i'd like to have my phone intergrated, but.. oh well. all in all, i love love love my a3! a good looking high quality premium compact that is fun to drive -- a perfect car for me! if you are even remotely considering it, test drive it.

14 miles per gallon in the city! turns out audi knows about this but won't admit to it. And they certainly won't tell you before you buy it. Once you do buy it you can expect stonewalling from both the dealer and the corp headquarters.
I can't recommend this car at all, nor any from this manufacturer.
