Microsoft Operations Manager delivers enterprise-class event and performance management for Windows-based environments of all sizes. It provides event and performance management for the Windows Server family of operating systems and .NET Enterprise Server applications. Microsoft Operations Manager provides proactive monitoring and alert messaging through distributed capabilities that track and monitor information, and escalate issues to pagers, through e-mail, or by other external means. Microsoft Operations Manager is a key component of Microsoft's management strategy. The Microsoft Operations Manager Application Management Pack is a set of Management Pack modules and reports that facilitate the monitoring and management of Microsoft server products. They also improve the availability, performance, and security of Microsoft Windows-based networks and server applications. With the Application Management Pack, Microsoft Operations Manager provides central monitoring and automatic problem resolution for networks of tens to thousands of computers, continuously monitoring application software and servers. MICROSOFT OPEN LICENSE BUSINESS Microsoft Open License is a software volume licensing program designed for corporate, government, charity, and academic customers who order as few as five licenses. After the initial order, customers can benefit from volume pricing for all licenses for the remainder of the term of their Open License authorization number. Open License Business offers savings on estimated retail prices by placing an initial order for five or more licenses or one server processor license.
