"Wasted my time and money" on by Netvigators

Pros: it has a rather swish design, motion and tracking features

Cons: Incompatible with Vista, Adjustable base was too loose

Summary: I bought this web cam online because its tracking and motion capabilities, but that was a bad decision I made. First of all, the software/driver wasn't Vista compatible, nor available download from their web as of Feb 2007 (Note: Vista was already selling for weeks on the market). Secondly, it did not hold or stand still on my flat panel LCD monitor. The stand bracket was too loose and it wasn't easy to make the camera set on the horizontal level. Also the camera USB cable wasn't long enough which made my cabling much difficult. With no second thoughts, I returned it and lost 15% restocking fee, shipping and my time at the end.

"Simply Doesn't Work" on by mouseclick

Pros: Maybe if it worked, I'd have one...

    Cons: Doesn't work

Summary: I have an HP system with a dual core AMD chipset - not even a year old. I always install the latest patches, drivers, firmware, etc. for my system. I installed this and got a pop up that my USB drivers are not the latest so the web cam may not work. Sure enough, it doesn't work. I checked, double checked and re-checked that all my drivers were current and they indeed are. I emailed support and they actually said "try the webcam on another system." Right, I'm going to change my primary system for a webcam for this webcam. I gave it a fair shot, even tried support, and after several attempts and checks, this cam has never worked so, I returned it. Overall, the footprint is rather large so, even if it will work for you, consider that. And that "remote webcam feature" they tout is a free month trial - you have to pay for anything more, each month. So, consider those things too.

Maybe I am doing something wrong

"Bad Software" on by Heath Nilesen

Pros: Great movement and wide angle

    Cons: Hard to access features

Summary: Most of what would make this Web cam Great. You cant access with out the software. I should not have to load anything more then the driver to access the features I want. What if i want to use the features for a web app or write my own software. I guess what I'm saying is where is the unified driver that everyone else is supplying with these products.

This will be the last Creative product I buy for a long long time.

PS Every couple of months I go and look for updates. They have updated the software once in the last year.

They very seldom update software or drivers.

Sorry I spent my money here.
