"Awesome webcam, but seriously - what were you thinking?"

3 stars  | on by craigodavis

Pros

The stereo sound and the camera quality are excellent.

Cons

The stand - It's like the handshake of a man with no confidence. Securily fastening to anything is not possible. Seriously the stand is a major drawback and if I don't use rubberbands or glue I will probably be the reason I return the device.

Summary

I love Logitech. I love their products. I love this webcam - The stand is a piece of crap.

"I just received the C910 webcam and am very impressed!"

5 stars  | on by DanTabler

Pros

The image and sound quality are excellent. I'm new to Skype and video calling but even with my limited experience, installing the C910 and making my first video call using Skype could not have been easier.

Cons

None so far. I've noted some concerns by other reviewers about the C910's stand but have not experienced any problems with mounting it securely to my laptop. I haven't tried it yet on my desktop monitor but am confident it will work well there too.

Summary

The Logitech C910 is an excellent webcam at a very good price. I'm looking forward to video chats with family members living in other parts of the country and friends I haven't seen in years.

"One Fantastic HD Webcam for Skype 5.1 on Win7 64bit!!"

5 stars  | on by UBHappy

Pros

Sleek camera style that looks great on top of my monitor, superb autofocus wide angle lens, good dual microphone, excellent exposure balance, user friendly software interface

Cons

Software installation is not foolproof and may be complicated if other built-in webcam and microphone devices are already installed, USB cord is right-sized for a laptop or monitor with USB ports but may be too short for a mini-tower USB port

I purchased the Logitech C-910 primarily to make video calls on Skype 5.1 for Windows. Our computer system is a new Dell Vostro Core i5-2400 with 2GB RAM running Windows 7 64 bit OS. Our internet connection is Ethernet and FIOS 25 Mbps (down)/ 5 Mbps (up). The C-910 camera was placed securely on top of the 23" Dell LCD monitor with an accessory Dell sound bar. The webcam conveniently plugs into one of the existing USB 2 ports on the monitor.

The C-910 webcam software was installed using online instructions and the latest software downloaded from the Logitech site. I was initially concerned about potential microphone problems and Skype video freeze issues that have been reported by several users with Win 7 64 bit systems, so I decided not to use the Logitech installation CD that shipped with the webcam. Installation was actually very straightforward, although I did have to do a repeat software installation to get the microphone to operate properly.

Once all of the hardware and software was properly installed we made several lengthy video calls on Skype and everything worked flawlessly. I am impressed with both the video and audio capabilities of this webcam. The autofocus and exposure balance software provided our best video call experience to date. I would highly recommend the C-910 HD webcam.
