"Best webcam yet"on by CodeBlack
Pros Easy/fast installation, great (but kiddish) effects, and just plain oustanding
Cons Nothing yet
Summary This is the best webcam I have ever used... Microsoft has earned some points with this one.. you can zoom, and have some neat.. yet kind of kiddish effects...
Get this webcam.
Fast and easy installation
NO CONS YET
Pros 640x480 Camera Resolution, low price
Cons Microphone picks up static
Summary Camera equivalent to other 640x480 resolution webcams such as the Logitech Quickcam Deluxe. The microphone needs to be turned all the way up to hear normal voices and picks up large amounts of static. IMO the static makes the microphone unusable.
Pros this is something i wouldnt give my worst enemy.
the person you plan to call should they ever want to hear you will get a constant buzzing interference
Summary forget quality if you cant hear i cant see past this flaw and if you do use it neither will you
Pros Compact, east setup.
Cons Microphone is poor - picks up extraneous background and PC sounds, while voice pickup is weak.
Summary Sure it's cheap, but you'll need a separate microphone if want the other side to clearly hear what you're saying. I'm exchanging mine at BB for a Logitech model.
Pros For a low-end webcam it has good video resolution.
Cons Start-up screens that ask you to adjust the webcam every time the computer starts up.
When recording a video, at any resolution, about every ten seconds there is a very short pause/skip in the video.
Summary Having to deal with the adjustment screen every time the computer is started-up, whether or not the camera is attached, is annoying.
As a webcam, where pauses/skips are not noticeable, the webcam is great. To record video, the pauses/skips can be annoying.
