"Very real simulation of bowling (35 years in leagues)"
Pros: Responds to minor changes in hand position, speed, armswing
Cons: Takes a while to understand how it is supposed to work
Summary: I can only imagine that the other negative reviews are the result of not understanding how the game is supposed to work. If you try to sync your motions to the on screen avatar, that simply isn't possible - that's not the way this game works. You go through the motions of delivering the ball - downswing, upswing, wrist snap at release - then watch the on-screen avatar execute the commands you gave it. The game responds very accurately to minor changes in wrist and hand position and speed variations in arm swing. I've only been able to throw 3 300 games, but have several dozen between the mid-250'2 and a 279. Only complaints- the game tends to leave way too many 9 pins on solid pocket hits, and spares are too easy. With a little care and patience it is almost impossible to miss a spare. Different balls react differently to various oil patterns - just like "real life" - and as the oil is carried down the lane and the pattern begins to break down you have to adjust your angle / speed / revolutions on the ball to compensate. I *LOVE* this game.
