"Surprisingly Great!!!"
on by santellan17585Pros Normally, versions of a high-quality game that are ported over to low-power platforms fail miserably, but this game is actually quite good. Its cartoon-style visuals add to the humor and it doesn't try too hard to replicate its superior versions.
Cons I have yet to find any complaints about this version of the game aside from the controls. They take a little getting used to and can sometimes be a little slow to respond, but once mastered it fails to continue to be problematic.
Summary I run a video game review site known as the GamerGeek Review, so I purchased the Xbox 360 and Wii version to properly compare the 2 versions. But from the start, I expected this one to be a disappointment as games that have released low-quality versions on the Wii and PS2 in the past were. I was quite surprised to find the game is very well rounded and enjoyable.
The gameplay is quite good and less complicated than the Xbox 360/PS3 version, allowing users to easily pick it up and play it with little or no time used flipping through the manual for help. The controls can be a bit of a pain and they aren't as responsive as they could be, but this does very little to hinder the overall design of the game.
The graphics are quite good and the animated art style actually adds to the humor and whit of the characters. At first glance, they look like a joke, but they grow on you and you start to see them for their charm.
The story is virtually identical to the high-end versions with the only differences being altered scenes which the hardware is not capable of and added lines of dialogue which actually tell a more in-depth story then the 360/PS3 versions do.
All in all, if your on a budget or don't own the behemoth machines by Sony and Microsoft, this is a great game and wont disappoint. It definitely isn't the same game available on the 360 and PS3, but does it need to be? Part of its draw is that it is an entirely different game all its own. I honestly find myself playing this version more then the one for the 360, so I feel that has a lot to say about how well developed it is. I have to tip my hat to Red Fly Studios for making this game what it is.
