Microsoft Windows XP (Professional)

Pros: Very stable and does everything you need- it can do everything Windows 7 can do. Until MS came come up with features more than appearance changed XP will continue to have a strong customer base. MS is trying to kill XP and has lost. Most Popular O/S.

Cons: Nothing at all

Summary: XP is a far better O/S than Vista. For 32 bit, the improvements on Windows 7 do not warrant switching to that O/S for most users. XP is more customizable and less expensive and as long as most software uses 32 bit, except for gaming, it will suit all your needs. With respect to features and speed, there is virtually no difference with Windows 7.

One year after Window7 has been released, XP still the most used O/S. With Firefox 4, MS efforts to remove support for XP to for users to upgrade has been unsucessful. Appears MS will need to innovate a lot more in order for XP users to move to another O/S.
