Cons: Crashes will not allow Hard drive to restart when there is no reason for the crash.

Pros: Ease of use unequaled by previous versions of Windows. Stylish interface. Extremely reliable; it's never crashed on me and it's never had the "blue screen of death" (as Apple likes to scare people with).
Cons: None, really.

"Not if you intend on file sharing with 98SE or ME"
Pros: Fast to start at 1.6 ghz fast within that PC Fast over the internet share very well.
Cons: craps out when it comes time to share files over a lan they admit slow. I say 99% of the time the file will not open ie MS office 2000 same file open and close it reopen and it will not open create folder on another work station from the xp and xp claims
