It's your fault for not checking if it was compatible with XP. What you did is like taking the word version on Mac and trying to install it on a PC. Think a little!!!

I have to agree with the first person. I've never had an OS "break" the way Windows XP has. It is not allowing me to install any InstallShield programs. After going round and round with technical support for the applications I am trying to install, going through every support site on the planet, every fix posted at http://consumer.installshield.com, the almost universal opinion at this point is that the error is within Windows XP SP2 and it must be re-installed. Which makes things very interesting since XP came pre-installed on the compter and all I have are some promotional CDs and NO CD for the OS. Whee. I've never had this happen with any other OS.

I know this is kind of late to be giving you this advice but did you even check to see if the programs were compatible with windows XP?! It is mostly your fault for not checking first, don't blame the OS!
