"Good equipment; requires Buffalo products"
Pros: Works out of box, external antenna port, non-brick power supply
Cons: Supports only Buffalo access points and routers, poor documentation, somewhat cryptic web UI
Summary: I like:
- Powered it up and got to the web UI quickly.
- Strong signal.
- Default SSID is the MAC address -- nice touch.
- Web ui features comprehensive list of settings.
- Power scaling (reducing range of your wireless network for those in tight quarters).
- Power supply isn't a brick that covers up other outlets. Great for installation.
- Works with non-Buffalo client adapters.
Overall, a well-designed product.
Ugh:
- Also by design, it only supports Buffalo brand routers and access points. Couldn't get my WLA2-G54C to connect to my Netgear wireless router.
- Documentation only gets you to the web ui, but gives you no help on configuration -- not for the wifi beginner.
In the end, I bought it because it was marketed as a bridge/repeater. But since it won't play with third-party routers and access points, it'll have to go back to the store. I wanted to like it, but Buffalo won't have my business with 11b/g equipment. Maybe when I upgrade to 11n.

I really appreciated this review, as I am a wifi beginner, and might have purchased had I not read this review. Thanks!
