Pros If the instruction in the manual had been made more precise, the setup will definitely be much more easier. But once I figure it out, the setup is a piece of cake. I got this one at $49 (after rebate) so it is cheap for 54G access point. I setup this on
Cons Not so clear instructions in the Manual. Signals may sometime drop, you need to find the "sweet spots"
Pros Looks nice Simple Web based set-up Simple Wizard
Cons Tech support. comments: Poor Tech support, they read from a cue card, they will not discuss work arounds, hence quote from the tech support, Tech support: "turn off 128 encryption as it doesnt work properly" Me: so what do i do then Tech supp: turn off e
Pros Works. I upgraded the firmware before i even used it. Had a couple of problems usually I caused. Its been operational with no problems in over a week.
Cons None so far. Did notice itll drop connection every once in a while.
Pros Nice design. Reasonable features. Reasonable price.
Cons Our unit kept dropping the wireless link every 60-65 seconds. The Netgear WG121 54g USB adapter drivers can cope with this (although it puts a message in the event log every time), but some other (e.g. AMD AM1772-based 11b cards) drivers release their DHC
Pros Generally easy to set-up with plenty of home security features. No problems with dropped connections in a 2,000 square foot home. Never have had to re-start like others have mentioned. Once it's set-up it runs like a champ.
Cons The user manual is inconsistent in some areas, especially when you are trying to access the AP through a DHCP client. Email tech support took 48 hours, but they answered my quesitons in broken English at least.
