Summary: Upon purchasing my new Toshiba laptop in June, I signed up for a 5 day trial of MyConnect. I was dissatisfied with the lack of wireless hotspots so I called their 24 hour customer support on the 5th day to cancel since I do not need to pay $40/ month for dial up internet service. I then found out that the 24 hour customer support closed at 5pm. I called the next business day to cancel. Since it was after 5 days, they charged me $40 even though I cancelled. This was in July...
I just checked my November bank statement and lo and behold they are still taking money out of my account! I called to request my money back and I was told that their system does not allow them to credit more than a month back!! Isn't this the same system that allowed them to take money out of my account without authorization for the past 6 months. Then they asked me for a confirmation number to prove I cancelled my account in July- they said they do not keep record of telephone calls. I told them I was never given a confirmation number. Long story short- I still don't have a confirmation number or my money back.
I do NOT recommend giving these people your credit card information.
