Pros 1. stunning world with weather effects
2. alternative ways of completing missions
3. the AI is very smart
4. realism: enemies re-occupy posts, weapons get jammed, need to take cover when healing yourself
5. very fun combat elements: stealth & assault
Cons Choosing a character does not seem to influence the gameplay or story outcome, it only adds a backstory to your character
Summary You play a mercenary on a mission to take down a major arms dealer in an unspecified African country, on your way to do this you get stuck in the middle of a civil war. To get by you have to do all sorts of missions for different people, including assassinations and sabotage.
As soon as you feel that you have a grip on the game everything changes dramatically and you are forced into new and more challenging environments and living conditions. I like how the game immerses you into the natural and social environments, you become a player in this chaos.
Far Cry 2 is unique in that the FPS experience takes place in a beautiful and colourful location, and has gameplay that is unpredictable and raw.
Pros A very creative feel when planning an attack, The best and easiest to use map creator I've ever seen in a game, intense exploration, and some of the best (Not the best but pretty close!) visuals in a game you'll get. This all combines in multiplayer!
Cons Some of the terrain around well populated areas can rarely become glitchy right before your eyes. No split screen gaming, something i was expecting in every game on the consoles. But so far there's not many. And this game needs a surrender option!
Summary One of my favorite games since Fallout 3, the exploration is one the main things i love about this game. And the great moments of watching a whole village burn right before your eyes feels great. And sneaking up behind somebody with a machete and cutting there throat makes you feel like your invincible... Until your shot at by some random people driving down the road.
The best thing about this game are the great graphics and the intense exploration. Some of the best locations to explore I've seen for some time since Fallout 3.
The loads of weapons they give you combined with the freedom combined with this option smooth out nicely. For example, you can be exploring, run into a town full of enemies, and just through a Molotov or to in there and just run away like it never happened. It never gets old.
Pros The action it self is super fun, with tons of weapons to choose from. A massive map to explore.
Cons The story doesnt make you feel like your REALLY involved with the game.
Summary bottom line is that this is a very fun game, looks great, a must buy from anyone who likes first person shooters
